Electric Mobility

CEPM promotes electric mobility in the country as part of its commitment to sustainable and environmentally-friendly processes, and as an effective way to fight climate change. We promote and lead the transition towards sustainable mobility and promote the electrification of the transportation sector.

Our goal is for our fleet to be 100% electricity-based by 2022.

As a first step, we are in the process of changing our entire vehicle fleet to electric vehicles. Our goal is that by 2022, 100% of our fleet will be 100% electric. In addition to the environmental benefits, with its renewed fleet CEPM will be reducing its transportation operating expenses thanks to the fact that electric cars are almost four times more efficient than vehicles that use fuel.

CEPM is the first company in Latin America to be part of the EV100 initiative.

In addition, in order to promote the transition towards a sustainable-based mobility, we have partnered with InterEnergy Systems, a sister company belonging to the InterEnergy Group, to promote the installation of electric chargers in homes and businesses in the eastern region towns of Punta Cana, Bávaro, Verón and Miches. InterEnergy Group is also the first company in Latin America to be part of EV100, a global initiative that brings together visionary companies committed to accelerating the transition to electric vehicles by 2030. Based on this commitment we continue to install charging stations for electric vehicles, as a key step to contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.

Charging Stations

InterEnergy Systems, with its Evergo brand, is a pioneer in the installation of level-3 charging stations, also known as “super-fast” or “fast-chargers“. These stations have revolutionized the electric mobility sector, allowing the full charge of a vehicle, depending on the model, in less than an hour. Almost half of the available charging stations installed will correspond to this mode.

The model used for the Evergo charging stations is based on self-service. It is done through an APP, available on the App Store and Google Play. The customer may track the charge in real time, pay through the virtual wallet and, also search on a map to locate the different stations available in the country, among other facilities.
