“Heroes of education” donates backpacks and school supplies to 1,500 children from communities in Bávaro



The “Heroes of Education” program is led by CEPM, and in its third year of implementation it managed to triple the number of children benefited.

BÁVARO, La Altagracia.- A total of 1,500 boys and girls from the communities of Bávaro received an equal number of backpacks with school supplies for the start of the 2018-2019 school year, through the “Heroes de la educación” program, designed and led by the Punta Cana – Macao Energy Consortium (CEPM).

According to a note sent to the media, the donation was possible thanks to a joint effort of the CEPM, San Juan Shopping Center, Downtown Center, UNIBE, Lorenzo Ogando Electrical Company, the Soldiers of Christ church, the Rotary Club Punta Cana and Maderas The Universal.

The beneficiary children belong to the following communities: Barrio Nuevo, El Edén, Verón, Cristinita, Villa La Fe, Mata Mosquito, Monte Verde, La Ceiba del Salado, Anamuyita, El Bonao, Las 3 Piezas, Cañada Honda, El Caño, Villas del Mar, Campo Lindo, Villa Playwood, Kosovo and the Hoyo de Friusa.

This donation was part of the “Heroes of Education” program developed by CEPM, through which CEPM donates all the backpacks, while the consortium collaborators and allied companies provide school supplies. “Heroes of education” is developed for the third consecutive year, with the novelty that by 2018 the number of children benefited in relation to 2017 tripled.
