CEPM initiates Safe Play Program 2018



The program seeks to bring talks to the communities of Bávaro about safe play, emphasizing the danger of flying kites near power lines.

BÁVARO, La Altagracia – More than 300 children and teenagers participated in the 2nd Intercollegiate Race Bávarp 2018 with the support of the Consorcio Energético Punta Cana – Macao (CEPM), official sponsor of the activity.

The company reported that this support is part of the activities of the Safe Play program, which seeks to guide children and teenagers about the danger of flying kites next to power lines, through the promotion of sports and educational activities

The race, which departed from the Downtown Center, brought together students from Pauline’s Garden, Mi Segunda Milla, Veron I Elementary School, Yess Kinder and Punta Cana International School.

The responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility of CEPM, Meraris Vargas, said that supporting this type of activities is part of the commitment that CEPM has with the community, especially activities aimed at children and adolescents.

The activity was joined by members of the team of volunteers and executives of CEPM who participated with their families, also enjoying the participation of Cepmcito, the company’s official mascot.

The Safe Playing program will continue during the summer with fun activities for all children in the different communities of Bávaro.
