CEPM promotes electromobility in the country as part of its commitment to sustainability and environment protection. As an effective way to fight climate change, we promote and lead the transition towards sustainable mobility and promote the electrification of transport.
As the first step we are taking, we are in the process of changing our entire fleet of vehicles to electric vehicles. Our goal is to have our complete fleet to be 100% electric by 2022. In addition to the environmental benefits, with its fleet CEPM will also be reducing its transportation operating expenses, thanks to the fact that electric cars are almost 4 times more efficient than vehicles that use fuel.
To promote the transition towards sustainable mobility, we have partnered with InterEnergy Systems, a sister company of InterEnergy Group, to assist in the installation of electric chargers in homes and businesses in Punta Cana, Bávaro, Verón, Miches. InterEnergy Group is also the first company in Latin America to be part of EV100, a global initiative that brings together visionary companies committed to accelerating the transition to electric vehicles by 2030. From this commitment we continue to promote the deployment of charging stations for electric vehicles, as a key step to contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.
InterEnergy Systems with its Evergo brand is a pioneer in the installation of level 3 charging stations known as ‘superfast’ or ‘fast charger’, which revolutionized the electric mobility sector by allowing the full charge of a vehicle, depending on the model, in less than an hour. Almost half of the available charging points that will be installed will correspond to this superfast model.
